Dr. Hensley grew up in Plainfield and graduated from Plainfield high School in 1986. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Purdue University in 1990 and her Medical Doctorate from IU School of Medicine in 1994. In 1997, she completed her Pediatric Residency at Methodist Hospital,  was certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and became a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics the same year. She has continued to be Board Certified according to the American Board of Pediatrics guidelines. In 2002,  she opened her own private pediatric practice in Avon, IN where she has lived since 1996.
